Josh started climbing at the age of 14. He joined a climbing team and trained and competed for 4
years. Then suddenly stopped climbing due to a busy life and a full time job as an electrician.
But he needed to fill the void he was missing in his life at the time. Now that Josh has been back
in it for 5 years he can’t stop moving forward.
With competition and traveling to climb across the world always on his mind, he trains
and pushes himself until the time comes to take action. When he's not training, he is outdoors in search of new lines and areas in new england or where ever something new is to be discovered. Josh is highly regarded in the world of route setting and coaching with his Head coach position at MetroRock and setting for Dark Horse Competitions. Josh is based out of Boston, Ma and is co-owner at Cold House Media with Vince Schaefer.
This coming spring and summer Josh will attend 5 Bouldering World Cups, U.S and CAN. Adult Bouldering Nations, he will be developing new climbing ares in Wyoming and Puerto Rico, climbing and living in France for 3 months and traveling all in between to guest set/coach. He will also help coach the Youth World Championship in Arco, Italy for the U.S. Youth Team.
Josh has been competing for 5 years and that comes with a focused approach to the sport. With
top finishes at indoor competition and attending World Cups across the globe, Josh has
represented the East coast try hard attitude.
Some top finishes include:
3rd place at the 2015 American Bouldering Nationals in Maddison, WI.
2nd place at the 2015 Canadian Bouldering Nationals in Montreal, QC.
