This summer was RAD! Have you ever had one of those summers where you don't even remember July? Did July even happen this year? I don't know what I was doing but if I had to guess I was climbing. Surprise, surprise! My last post was in March and since then I have been busy with comps and traveling so I will tell you a little about some of them. In March I attended ABS Nationals making semi-finals and placing 11th overall making the cut to go to some Bouldering World Cup Comps. In June, I returned to the Bouldering World Cup in Vail, CO with a goal in mind. Since my first World Cup in 2011 my goal has been to make semi-finals in Vail and at the time in 2011 it felt and looked VERY hard. With lots of training, focusing on my weaknesses and learning to climb under pressure (comps). Landing myself a 20 spot coming out of qualies makes me the last male to move forward to semi-finals! Calling it a little close but still my goal was reached! After semi-finals I didn't move back...or forward holding 20th at the end but still proud and VERY MOTIVATED for next season! After Vail I recived a invite to go to Chamonix, France for a Rope World Cup and you never say no to go to France, never. I had an experience of a life time there and learned so much....like how much stronger I need to be on a rope to hang with the 110lb noodles that float up the wall! It's okay, i'm psyched and that's all I need. In the past few months I have gathered a few more sponsors that are really awesome and keeping my focus. GoPro, Zen Lizard, Maxuim Ropes, 5.10, and Rock Werx are the people and company's helping me stay motivated and supporting me any way that they can. I have actually gone "rock climbing" outside a bit too! Visiting my long lost BFF Dave Wetmore in Boulder, CO was a blast in August! My little brother came with me and we hit up places like Lincoln Lake, Mt.Evan, RMNP, WIld Iris, Clear Creek Canyon and the burrito shop. All multiple times and all with great memory's! My lovely girl friend Andrea came out and joined us "MEN" for some climbing in the middle of our trip, then we all finished the trip with hiking the Grand Tetons with my uncle Jeff who lives in Wyoming. Plenty of trips to Rumney keep me busy with everything else that I "need" to do with climbing. Upcoming comps: UBC Pro Tour in Seattle,WA on September 21and 22nd! Some strong cats are going and I'm looking forward to a battle! Then off to Rope World Cup in A-town at the GIANT Stone Summit climbing facility! Not sure how that comp is going to go due to my lack in rope training/climbing right now but whatevah! Enjoy the videos and pictures and thanks for reading or scanning my blog! Josheeeeee!!!!!
